Avamarza

There is no GOOD and EVIL. There is no RIGHT and WRONG. There are no HUMAN RIGHTS. There is no MORAL and IMMORAL. There is no GOD and SATAN.

All ACTIONS are merely ACTIONS. Actions themselves are void of any fixed MEANING.

We, the human species, defines what is GOOD and EVIL or RIGHT and WRONG based on the consequence of our actions. We attach MEANING to everything around us. If something makes us happy; we deem it GOOD. If something makes us suffer; we deem it BAD.

Anything can therefore be GOOD or BAD, it all depends on the perception of an individual or of society. Culture, tradition, religion, customs, practices and beliefs are merely illusions we have invented for ourselves. Such groups and actions are void of any meaning except that which we create for them.

In trying to make ones way through the passage of life, one merely has to choose to take an action; an action which will be void of any value (except that which YOU have convinced yourself into thinking has MEANING) and perform it. One must then merely stand back and receive the consequence of his action. He cannot escape it for the consequence is the reaction to his action.

The ultimate purpose of life; TO SURVIVE. There is nothing more to it besides that.

One merely has to choose a path that keeps him surviving for the longest of periods to experience that which places him where he wants to be.

'Human Rights' is therefore a fiction invented by man to keep himself surviving - Self Interest. There is no RIGHT TO LIFE. Politicians will need soldiers to die for them so that they can secure their business deals overseas and maintain their continued survival.

Human Beings are just another species surviving in this realm with all other insects, reptiles and mammals (specieses). We are therefore subject to everything the animals are subjected to.

Laws and Constitutions are merely the creation of men and can always be flawed, ammended or broken. Rules and Regulations are merely writings on a piece of paper that allow for one group of people to control another. The attachment of MEANING to such laws (GOOD or BAD) are once again the work of men.

MORALITY and IMMORALITY are merely two categories created by human beings to offer ourselves this false sense of NOBILITY and GREATNESS. We are just another type of animal capable of animalistic acts that ensure our survival.

Perfection comes from knowing that EVERYTHING is NOTHING!

Rather depressing don't you think, if everything is nothing then surely everything is as good as it gets?

Nope. It is in fact very Liberating; that you are your own Universe.

You are able to be as compassionate as the Dalai Lama or as evil as Adolf Hitler.

You choose your Actions and you await the consequence of your actions.

Hi there, great post :) But your nihilism isn't saying very much my friend. It's great that you realise most of our human conceptions exist purely in our own heads; but what differentiates us from animals is that we actually NEED to place meaning on life. Our actions cannot be explained alone by a need so simple as survival.

We as a species often contemplate death, the meaning of our existence, the consequences of our actions. We tend to seek a far greater purpose than mere survival.

And these ideals, concepts, philosophies are the product of collective human thought and deliberation. For one to simply believe he is above it all and denounce it all as simply nothing, shows a complete lack of appreciation of human life itself. These are human concepts, but then again, aren't we human as well? Is that a good enough reason to detach ourselves from them and embrace only Universal truths?

And why not take it a step further and say that since all life terminates at some point, everything we do is meaningless anyway?

You are on a slippery slope towards a life devoid of meaning, and I feel that would be a great waste of an intellectual mind like yours. Why not use it for something more constructive? Or do you really hate your own species (and consequently yourself) so much?

Thank you for browsing through the site. I’m very glad. And I must apologize if I’ve taken some time to get back to the reply, I’ve been busy with work and updating the new blog.

Alright, now to a reply. The very ability for us to place ‘meaning’ on things is in itself crucial to our survival. Our brain has evolved to a point where it is able to assign ‘meaning’ to the things around us; to make the survival of the species more successful. Ultimately, we have our own gifts. Most people say we are ‘intelligent’ – but that’s just a characteristic developed to ensure we survive. Similarly, bats can see in the dark with ultrasonic frequencies and elephants communicate with subsonic frequencies. Both of which we are incapable of doing. Both ensure the survivability of the respective species.

Indeed we contemplate death and the meaning of our existence. I for one believe that we should go on doing this. It is crucial that we do; we must philosophize and use science to bridge the gap between our imagination and reality. But what is ‘far greater purpose’? I believe it is helping as much lives as we can on this planet and then exploring outer and inner space. To most people, ‘far greater purpose’ is corporatism, profit and pointless careerism. It’s a choice, one that Mankind has to think hard about.

I am not at all denouncing ideals or concepts and saying I’m above all of them. I am saying that values, norms and beliefs are ultimately fictional. Some hold tremendous merit and should be held on to. But most others are just complete bullshit and should be cleansed away – IMMEDIATELY!
Sadly, we love to indoctrinate; our family, relatives, friends, village, district and nation. And as long as we continue doing that, everyone will believe they are a Christian, Muslim, Jew, American, Chinese, Malay and Indian. Good ideals unite. Bad ones segregate.

The Human Species has wasted its beauty for philosophies that divide and temporary opium in the form of religion and mindless consumerism. So to reply to your statement - “…shows a complete lack of appreciation of human life itself.” Lol, indeed I do. I root for the annihilation of the Human Species. Human Beings, the way we are leading our lives, do not deserve the ‘sanctity of life’ that we preach about all the time!

Nonetheless, there is a glimmer of ‘hope’ in me, buried deep within millions of tons of ‘unemotional’ rubble. In fact there is a saying:

‘If you scratch the surface of a cynic, you will find a disappointed idealist.’

But I figured, instead of telling people who they should be (as I always have), I plan on telling people who they have become. I notice the message becomes a lot stronger and it works on jolting people’s psyche very quickly.

In any case, I do indeed see where you’re coming from and to a large extent I believe we’re both just different pages of the same book; or as Gandhi once said “two different rivers, flowing into the same great ocean!”

P/S: Do check out my new blog when you have the time. Think of it as a serious case of mental masturbation!
